Team Carly-Q is you. Thanks for checking in on our Carly and thanks for your positive thoughts, energy and prayers. Team Carly-Q is made up of lots and lots of people. People who come to me with fundraising ideas, ways to get us to Boston inexpensively, people who donate their time, money, or products. People who count change or broadcast our message through their Facebook pages, in their newsletters or on television. People who network in the medical community for us, give Carly samples or do additional research because Progeria is so rare. People who feed us when we are fundraising. People who let us lean on them when we need it. The list of team members is growing so fast and is too huge to publish here. It would be a big portion of Northwest Ohio as well as others spread across the US [and in the UK!]
There is however, a smaller group of people who are working as feverishly as Ryan and me to get Carly’s name out there and generate awareness & donations. In the world of fundraising, we don’t compensate with money. Instead, we will try to flood you with bountiful appreciation. I would like to take a moment to say, thank you for your lending us your talent and your time. You are amazing at what you do, but even more so because you did it for free. I know first hand how precious every moment of every day is, so thank you for giving up lots of moments to help us get the word out about Carly and Progeria and most importantly – to help us raise the money that we need to get a cure. We are so close! You are an amazing group of people with tremendous heart and I’m proud to call you Team Carly-Q!
